The coach plays a crucial role in the development and promotion of GAA games. The challenge for the coach is to create the right environment for players to develop - where they can practice without fear of error or failure, where the needs of the player are at the heart of all activities and where they feel safe and supported. In recognition of the resources required to support children’s coaching in Ahane GAA Club, we are holding a Coaching Children course on the following dates:
Module 1 Friday March 23rd 7pm-9.45pm
Module 2 Tuesday March 27th 7pm to 9.45pm
Module 3 & 4 Saturday April 14th or 21st 10am to 4.30pm - TBC
This course is designed for beginner coaches and those working with 12s down. However large parts are relevant for all coaches. Being a successful coach is not always all about winning trophies, but more important is the improvement in individual and team performance that marks out the truly successful coach.
