Senior Hurling

The Senior Hurlers had a tough encounter with a strong Garryspillane team on Tuesday evening last in Ahane in the ACHL.  Despite leading by 1-14 to 0-09 after 40 mins, Ahane ended up having to settle for a draw with the final scoreline of 1-16 each.  It was a very spirited display from the Ahane players against virtually a full strength Garryspillane team.

Ahane's ACHL match v Murroe-Boher which was scheduled for Boher on Saturday evening was called off on Saturday afternoon with Ahane getting a walkover.

Ahane's ACHL match v Patrickswell takes place on Tuesday 18th April at 6.30pm in Patrickswell - all support on the evening will be very welcome for what promises to be a tough encounter against the reigning county champions.

The launch of our new Main Sponsor - Martin Haugh of Munster Tree Surgeons is imminent and our new Jersey for 2017 complete with the Munster Tree Surgeons Logo will be ready for the start of the 2017 Championship.

Minor Hurling

The Ahane Minors had a challenge game v Broadford on Good Friday in Killaloe - it was a good run out for the team but Broadford ran out winners by 8pts.  The minors next game is a tough home game v Garryspillane in the 2nd round of the Premier Minor Hurling Championship on Friday 21st April at 6.30pm. All support in Mackey Park will be very welcome.  Training continues every Sunday morning 10-11am.

U6 - well done to all on the great numbers training – keep it up.

U10 – the U10 hurlers had their first challenge game of the season in Ahane on Friday last 14th April when Adare U10 visited Mackey Park.  Both clubs fielded 2 teams and both teams enjoyed 2 x 20 minute games of competitive hurling.  A big thank you to Adare U10 players for coming to Ahane and playing 2 sporting games.  Training continues Monday 6:30-7:45pm and Friday 6:30-7:45pm.

U12 – some of the 2005 born U12 players participated in the Limerick GAA Coaching / Games Easter camps in Hurling and Football in Old Christians – they were delighted with the opportunity to develop their skills and to train with players from other clubs.  Well done and thanks to all at Limerick GAA for a well-run and organised camp.  The U12 Leagues commences over the coming weeks with the football team playing their first league game on 27th April and the hurling team playing on 04th May.  U12 Hurling and football challenge v Murroe on Tuesday 18th April in Murroe.
